The EOS SAR project is developing synthetic aperture radar satellites.
The project team is working to:
- develop and manufacture SAR payload for a constellation of remote satellites;
- develop and manufacture lightweight deployable mesh reflector antenna (LDA);
- launch a constellation of 12 EOS SAR satellites.
EOS SAR creates small satellites with synthetic aperture radar, that emits and receives electromagnetic waves that can pass through clouds, vegetation and the upper layers of the earth’s soil. The technology processes the EM wave echoes reflected back from Earth’s surface. The SAR satellite payload is created suitable for constellations with high revisit rates.
